farmer's market.

I like to go here on Sundays, at Fairfax and Third, early before the stores open at that Grove monstrosity, when I can get a parking space. It always reminds me of when I first moved to L.A. almost 10 years ago. I stayed at the Farmer's Daughter across the street and LOVED IT! It's fancy and upscale and renovated now. Back in '99 it was just cozy, mellow and sweet. But I couldn't really afford to live there, so I got a shitty apartment in Silver Lake. My anniversary will be in April, and I'm thinking of getting a room for the night there to commemorate. I'll have a crepe and a taco for a celebratory breakfast. Just brainstorming, at this point.

elvis has not left the building,

This is an outtake, but I thought it looked really cool. I did not plan the lighting, as I am not that good of a photographer.

time is running out.

I probably don't need to tell you that. This month flew by, just like every month this year did. I barely bogged at all in December, so I'm shamefully squeezing it all in before the year ends, and yes, resolving to blog more in 2009. But I'll do it. You mark my words. But time is also running out for Polaroid film. Despite the efforts of sites like Save Polaroid, the company is discontinuing its film for good. And I have this confirmation first-hand from my sister-in-law Joy, who is a big shot events planner at Target and has personally met with the big shots at Polaroid and heard them say it, "no more." It's over. Shit.
